Munch Cafe – utterly consistent

munch Cafe Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

My husband and I have been to two branches of munch Cafe – one in Parktown North and the other in Bryanston. The thing that makes this restaurant so special is its location: many of the munch Cafes are located in branches of the Garden Shop. The beautiful foliage of the surroundings gives these locales a very peaceful and other-worldy feeling – something you can’t get anywhere else.

When we went to the Parktown North branch, I had the fry-up but I substituted the toast with halloumi. I had the eggs poached,  medium.

My husband had the eggs benedict:

When we went to the Bryanston branch, I had the omelette with bacon, tomato and mozzarella while my husband opted for the eggs benedict again:

I must admit: I preferred the Bryanston branch. This is because the atmosphere was  much more chilled and they had brought in a musician to while away the Sunday morning.

The service at the Parktown North branch is good (Bryanston  not so good, although this is probably as they were so busy). On some Sunday mornings, the Parktown North branch they of munch Cafe has childminders to watch children while parents enjoy a quiet, uninterrupted meal.

The prices are a bit steep but are well worth it!
